Situated deep in the timeless Ouysse valley, we have lived and evolved with Moulin de Latreille for over thirty years, gradually exploring and understanding our natural environment, carefully restoring the historic building, and creating a place of serene tranquility that is perfect for all types of gathering of up to twenty people.

We are delighted to share our beautiful barn space called the Arc for workshops/retreats and gatherings. Stay in the comfortable rooms of the moulin or camp in the glorious wild flower meadow. Experience organic, locally sourced produce, catering for all requirements. Surrounded by stunning countryside and featuring breathtaking river views, the Arc provides the perfect setting for finding inner peace, tranquility, and connection with yourself, with others, and with nature.

Staying In

We offer the chance to stay in our beautifully restored watermill, luxury accommodation, restored and up-cycled period furniture and luxurious linen, private bathrooms, and best of all, awake to the sound of river cascading over the weir or a kingfisher diving for its quarry.

Camping Out

We also offer camping in our fully equipped bell-tents nestled in the lush wild flower pastures of Latreille, in sight of the watermill and the Arc, sleep out in nature, marvel at the many stars in the night sky, before turning in to luxurious canvas comfort. And remember, with no light pollution, the Milky Way and the myriad stars of the heavens above are our nighttime canopy.

Food

We offer catering for your event for a variety of diets, drawing inspiration from classic French cuisine, mixed with a contemporary approach and a hint of mediterranean spice, all produce is organic and locally sourced.

Nature and Connexion

Whilst you're with us, why not explore our amazing surroundings. The Parc Naturel Regional des Causses du Quercy, a rural area of outstanding beauty, is in the Lot department of the Occitanie region, South-West France. One of the richest historical regions of France, it boasts the largest concentration of prehistoric sites in the world.

Latreille is surrounded by the beautiful medieval market towns of Sarlat, Gourdon and Martel. Visit the splendour of the cliff-city of Rocamadour, just 20 minutes away, is one of the must-see gems of this area. Or delve deep into the stunning grottos of Lacave and Gouffre de Padirac.

At one with nature ...

Hike in the hills around Moulin de Latreille, or dip into the crystal clear waters of the Ouysse river for a taste of wild swimming. Fishing or simply relaxing in hammocks that are set up in the garden by the river for total relaxation to read or watch the kingfishers go by. There is also a rowing boat & canoe available for the more adventurous.
